Before You Start Renovation

 Before You Start Renovation

A few thoughtful decision at the beginning of your renovation can save you time, money, and costly mistakes later

Planning a Renovation? Read This First.

A successful renovation isn’t defined by expensive finishes or the latest trends. It’s defined by the decisions you make before construction begins.

One of the first things I tell clients is to design around their lifestyle, not around what they see on social media. A home should reflect the people who live in it, not just what’s popular.

Think about lighting early. It influences how colours, materials, and textures are experienced, and it has a lasting impact on how a space feels.

Never choose furniture before understanding the proportions of your space. The right piece isn’t just beautiful, it fits comfortably and supports the way you live.

And when it comes to finishes, invest where it matters. Quality materials and thoughtful detailing often make the biggest difference over time.

Above all, don’t rush the process.

The most successful renovations are carefully planned. Every intentional decision made at the beginning helps avoid costly mistakes later and creates a home that feels effortless, functional, and built to last.
